The Wikipedia Appeal by Dominic Masut, Editor-at-Large (Discovered Media & Publications)

As a journalist, there are few times outside the 'commentary section' one should put there own feelings and thoughts.
This is one of them.
Wikipedia has done more for knowledge and education since it's very short existence, than the entire existence of Encyclopedia Britannica, yet it comes to us for free.
We should go out of our way at least a little, to assist any person, organization or opportunity that provides us an opportunity to learn, share knowledge and make life on Earth a better place. Wikipedia is one such thing. It teaches us, regardless of our color, creed, religion, income and demands nothing. It provides an opportunity for all of humanity to share and work together in "Finding a Better Future, Today' the guiding principle and motto of The Global Initiative for Humanity & Environment.
Wikipedia already provides lifetimes of knowledge and continues to grow daily possessing what even 100 university degrees could not, yet it comes to us for free, whereas a single university degree would cost tens of thousands of dollars, GBP, Yen, etc.
If the idea and knowledge Jimmy Wales had when he originally imagined Wikipedia was not encouraged by his persistent drive for knowledge, humanity would have been the biggest loser.
Today is a little over 2 years from the launch of Team Intrepid Orai's 3-year mission to explore humanity and environment 12-12-12 (December 12, 2012) we want to join Jimmy Wales appeal for donations to one of the greatest gifts of knowledge to humanity. Which without access to such knowledge, Team IO would have a much more difficult mission.
Knowledge is power, power to free ourselves, to evolve, to seek peace and harmony in our lives and a way forward in facing all challenges humanity has in its path, both now and in the future.
We should give even the smallest amount to one of humanities greatest gifts already given to us through Jimmy Wales creation that now continues to be created by us and all humanity as it assists us in 'Finding a Better Future, Today',
Click on Jimmy Wale's banner above and DONATE what you can and feel comfortable with to Wikipedia...TODAY.
Thank you...and Thank yourself, then Thank Jimmy by supporting Wikipedia.
